2 Months Old and Mother's Day

Starting with Kyrah...There are so many things I love about her at this age. She does such cute things. She walks around the house babbling and I have no idea what she says but her little voice is adorable. She also makes funny faces and puckers her lips up and will wiggle her tongue and make la la noises. When she runs it is that little toddler Frankenstein run with stiff legs. She dances by swaying, turning in circles and throwing in some feet stomps. She helps me do laundry. I hand her the clothes from the washer and she puts them in the dryer. The problem is that she gets mad when it is time to shut the door. She will grab my finger and lead me to this place or that - so cute. This is just a few of the wonderful things. But with toddler-hood comes challenging times as well. She still screams when she doesn't get her way - just an ear piercing top of the lungs scream. Oh and just recently she will scratch at my shirt collar when she doesn't get what she wants and her nails dig in. She is being a pill about eating and staying in her chair to eat a full meal. She used to be such a good eater. She won't lay still to get her diaper changed. But as soon as she does something bad she turns around and does something cute and adorable so it is hard to stay frustrated too long. Here she is throwing one of her trantrums where she sits on the ground and cries.

Happy 2 mths old to the twins on May 8th! Broden weighs 8 lbs 14 ozs and is 21 inches long. He is doing much better with his eating. He seems more content between meals now. I have spoken with many Mother's of twins and one woman told me just as soon as you think you have them each figured out they switch on you. Well she was right. For the first month Raya was my angel baby. Eating well sleeping long periods of time, going to sleep on her own, not fussing. Now Broden is eating 4 ounces and going right to sleep after. He will fall asleep on his own in the swing on in a vibrating chair. He doesn't need a pacifier or any help falling asleep (except swaddled up of course). He has really filled out and has lost that bug eyed look (Daddy's description not mine!). He has started smiling this month and will also coo once in awhile. He likes laying on his belly so tummy time is usually not a problem.

And here is Miss Raya. She is becoming a little chunk. She is 11 lbs 4 ozs and 22 1/4 inches long. She eats 5 to 6 ounces every 4 to 5 hours. She is still the better sleeper between the two and has slept through the night on a few occasions but typically she only gets up once around 4 or 5 in the morning then goes back to sleep. The doctors still say she is eating too much, but she is not content if we don't give her at least 5 ozs. They are both getting cereal in there bottle now which is helping them stay content. Raya started cooing this past month and saying "ahh" when she is playing on the floor. She also smiles once in a while. Whereas Broden smiles all the time and coos once in awhile. They are still opposites at everything!

Not the best pictures of them, but crying babies means you have to hurry.

And finally my attempt at a picture of me with my children on Mother's Day. Kyrah is too mobile now to sit still for pictures. This is as close as I could get to a picture of me with all three.
