Halloween 2009

I finally decided on the kids Halloween costumes. Kyrah is Little Bo Peep and Raya and Broden are her sheep. So I found the costumes at One Step Ahead - a great company that puts out catalogs and has a website. The problem is that the sheep costumes just do not fit right. They are too long and too tight in the belly. So I got some pictures in the bought costumes but knew there was no way the twins would be able to stay in them for Halloween. So I made some sheep costumes. Here are the purchased costumes...

I think they are saying "so what are you supposed to be?"

And here are the homemade costumes. I think the turned out pretty good. I may try to improve them by putting cotton balls or something like that on them to make them fuzzy.

And notice Broden up on his hands and knees - he is sooo close to crawling - actually he does move forward a bit in a crawling manner - just doesn't make it more then one or two steps.

Next is Sydney - (Broden's girlfriend). This is my friend Beth's baby - she is about 2 months younger then the twins. I love her hair bow.

All the little kids in the toddler room - the one that connects to the baby room. It is actually one large room with a half wall type divider. With all the chickens it was like Animal Farm. The two chickens on the left are twins also - Ava and Sam. Next is the infant room -which Raya and Broden are the oldest and one was not there this day. Sydney is the pumpkin.
So we will see what Halloween brings on Saturday. Boo!

A little catch up

Not a lot to say. Raya has gotten much better at eating from a spoon but boy she does not like her green beans. I need to give a little 7 month update and will have to fix that on my blog, but what can I say - it was 10/15 deadline for us tax folks. Broden is getting very close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks but hasn't yet moved forward (or backward for that matter). He is not in the same spot I put him so he kind of shifts and wiggles around. Raya is very content to sit in her spot and reach very far for whatever she wants. Both are getting a few more sounds - Raya says Da and Broden has the ga sound down. Here is a cute picuture of my two little panda babies.

And a little bathtime fun. Kyrah is just starting to sit on the potty - nothing has actually made it in the potty yet, but it is a start. I am sure she will appreciate this picture when she is older.

Broden with his little curl on top - he is very concerned about his hair. Actually I think I really should take him for a hair cut but Daddy says no. So for now it just stands up very crazy - guess he is taking after Uncle Steve.

The Evolution of Yes

It is very interesting to watch Kyrah learn new words and how she changes them. When she was just learning she said "No" for yes. She would say no but actaully meant yes. Then it turned into "Yeah". This lasted a few months. Yeah evolved into "Yes" about 3 months ago. Yes then turned to "Yep". Now just recently she has turned Yep into "Yeppie". Not sure how she will change it next.

And some cute pictures of Daddy and his girls.

Happy B-Day Eli

On Saturday Eli (my nephew) turned 4 years old. He had a farm cake that he was super excited about. During the day he moved the farm animals around on the cake so by the time we got to his house for the party, the cake had more then a few animal tracks.

I think Eli and Broden look alot alike - mainly around the eyebrows and eyes...

Kyrah enjoying her piece of cake with Grandpa. What idiot invented blue icing!!

The girls playing ring around the rosie - Kyrah's favorite.
Then just a few random pics I liked. Kyrah being mischievious.
Kyrah had to sit up on her toy chest with all her bears.

And little Buddy napping while holding his lambs foot.

Harvest Pictures

I was able to get the kids dressed up for Eli's birthday party and thought this was a good chance to get some cute fall pictures of them. The first one I am going to send out to family. I couldn't get one with all three smiling so I had to go with the best two smiling.

A little fun with hats.
