Kyrah is so much fun at this age. This picture was taken on 4/5/2008 so she is almost 4 months old. She is 5 and a half months old now. She is laughing and smiles all the time. She really laughes when you put a stuffed animal or dall in front of her and act like it is talking to her. She is also starting to laugh at the dog. Last night we were sitting on the front porch swing watching Lupa play in the yard and Kyrah just laughed at Lupa everytime she moved. She is also becoming much more curious. The other day she was in her car seat and had two toys hanging down from the handle. With her left hand she reached above the toy and grabbed the ring the toy was hanging from. She is also getting close to sitting up by herself. She can do the frog sit - like a tripod where she is leaning forward and holds her upper body up with her hands on the floor. Sometimes she will fall to the side sitting like that. You also have to be behind her in case she bucks back and you have to catch her.

She is doing very well eating at night. She has rice cereal and two veggies each night. Everytime she takes a bite she makes a "ummm" noise with it. She also tried apple juice this weekend while at Lydia's (her cousin) First Communion party. Kyrah seemed to like it but she had her brow furrowed at first- I think just a new taste.

Kyrah has moved to the adult bathtub. She doesn't seem to like it very much. I am putting her on a raised mesh baby holder and put the yellow bear sponge on top of that. The sponge seems to help keep her from rolling to the sides. I don't trust the mesh stand by itself. It is much more difficult to bathe her this way because I have to lean over the tub rather then standing at the kitchen sink with he in her baby bathtub. I thought she would like the bigger tub better becasue she could play and splash more, but that hasn't proven the case yet.

She's doing so good with the food! It's amazing to think she's already starting solid foods! I can't wait for that stage where they really start interacting with their environment. How fun to hear her laughing all the time!
