Each of the kids got new plates and utensils to keep at daycare. Kyrah did a great job opening the presents. She also got a Dora doll to take home and play with.
She loved seeing Santa from a distance and was very excited when he came into the room. When it was her turn to sit on his lap...that was another story. She didn't want to go close to him so Mommy had to go along. She did end up giving him a high five before he left. And she really likes the candy cane he gave her.

In our family we do Christmas Day at my parents house and we celebrate Christmas with the Stuppy side the week after, so we never have conflicts or have to run from house to house, but we also have nothing to do on Christmas Eve. So I was trying to think of traditions we could start and continue as the kids get older. In my head it sounded like a good idea to make cookies to leave out for Santa that night. And I think in 7 -8 years from now the process will go more smooth and hopefully be less of a mess. But who cares about a little mess right??
Rolling out the cookies (or play dough as Kyrah called it).
The end product!! Not too bad considering the limited decorating supplies I had. Kyrah went through 3 outfits that day and I had to sweep the floor about 4-5 times, but it is all for the fun of Christmas.
Finally Kyrah picked out a very special cookie to leave out for Santa.
The next morning when she woke up, Santa had taken two bites out of the cookie and left her lots of presents.
Then after nap and all the cookies cooled off. It was time to decorate. Aunt Connie came over to help for this part.
The twins sat back and enjoyed a cookie rather then help decorate. Look at all the rain outside. So much for our white Christmas.
