Here is a nice picture of Kyrah scooping up the ketchup with her fingers and eating it plain. Who needs those tator tots to hold my ketchup when I can use the spoon or better yet I will just scoop it up with my fingers.
Double duty feeding. Typically the way it works out is that Kyrah gets her plate around 5:45 and eats in her highchair. I get the babies cereal and bottles ready. One gets a bath. At that point Kyrah is ready to get down. The bathed one plays on the floor, Kyrah walks around playing (or whining) and the other baby gets a bath. Both babies move to a high chair then and gets fed cereal and a veggie or fruit, Kryah still walks around or plays. When the cereal and veggie is gone, the babies move to the floor and kick back and I feed both a bottle. On good nights Broden will hold his own bottle and I can hold Raya and feed her. The babies are off to bed at 6:30 - they get put in bed awake and may play in there for a bit before they fall asleep. At that point I give Kyrah a bath and we then sit on the couch and read a book and drink milk.

Random Pics
Kyrah and Grandma at the STG homecoming parade - which Daddy and his softball girls were in. Kyrah loved the bands and would say "Where go?" after they walked past. Surprisingly she was not that interested in picking up the candy that was thrown out - although after she realized what it was she was very interested in eating it!
Also - another random thought. Took Kyrah to the doctor a week ago on Saturday for an ear ache - she weighed 23 lbs and 4 ozs. Such a tiny little thing. She is in 18 month clothes, although it is hit or miss sometimes they fit, sometimes they are too big.
So when I had the twins at the doctor's office by myself two weeks ago... I had to take a picture of the aftermath...

Sept. Update
Some random pictures from the past two weeks. On Sept. 19th Broc went to the Ste. Gen Homecoming with Morgan "as friends". I think they look really cute together.
I love this picture of Raya - it is like I called her name and she just looked over and said yeah what you need?

Kyrah and Raya playing in Raya's crib together - that lasted all of 20 seconds.
Just a cute little face of Kyrah's. She has been biting her top lip lately making this funny face.
Broden hanging out on the outside chair waiting for his turn in the swing.

Raya enjoying her turn in the swing.
And for the stats. At the 6 month check up Raya weighs 19 lbs 3 oz and is 26 inches long. Still in the 95% for weight and 50 % for height. Broden is 16 lbs 10 oz and 25 inches - 25% for weight and 5% for height. So only one inch length difference but a huge difference in percetanges. Not a big deal on the percentages because they are growing at an even rate compared to their 4 month visit. They also both got 4 shots on Friday. Poor things - but they took it well and only cried for less then a minute.

Church Picnic
We all went the the Church picnic this weekend. I know I have written about one of these before, but we went to another one. Here is Kyrah playing some of the games. She is holding the blue monkey she won at the ball toss. Daddy is wearing the sunglasses she won at the duck pond.
The picnic also had a little petting zoo. As Kyrah loves animals and may one day be a vet, she enjoyed seeing all the animals.

Happy 6 months old
A big milestone for the twins being six months old today. I remember being pregnant not knowing what to expect or what my life would be like with 6th month old twins. Well it has been quite a wonderful ride. The babies are doing great. We will go to the doctor soon for their 6th month check up and I will give stats then, but in the meantime a few thoughts on what they are up to.
Raya is a little chunk as so many people tell me. She is perfect to me no matter what her size. She is such a great baby...90% of the time. She is able to play with toys for long times without getting upset. She loves her exersaucer and LOVEs to swing outside. She will giggle when she is swinging and you smile at her. She sleeps through the night, but I still have to get up and put a binkie in her mouth once or twice. She drinks 6 ounces every 4 hours. We are trying to feed her cereal, veggies and fruit but she still sticks her tongue out. She seems interested when she sees other poeple eat, but she is just not ready for solids yet. She naps best in her swing and will take a 2+ hour nap for me in the morning around 8:30. The afternoon naps are a little more sparatic and shorter. So we are still trying to get a daytime schedule down. I am hoping that will come when we get on a eating schedule as well. She reaches for objects and passes a toy from one hand to the other. She is sitting up pretty well by herself, but will fall over after a few minutes. Raya is my thinker. She is really calm about things, doesn't get very excited over anything. Doesn't squeel or scream much. She doesn't kick her legs or move her arms rapidly, just at her own pace. But when she is upset - watchout. This is her other 10%. She starts crying if she is being held and the person yells something at someone else - she gets very upset. To calm her down you just have to hold her and shush her and give her love. I think she takes after my brother Steve. He can be like this - so Raya definitely has some Propst in her.
Broden is a very busy little boy. He is such a mover and shaker. His arms and legs are always moving. He looks around at everything. He is also such a cudler. He loves to but his face on your shoulder or put his cheek next to your cheek. He is still skinny - not super skinny, but a great size. I don't know how he stays small becuase he eats a lot. He is up to eating oatmeal and fruits and veggies. He really likes applesauce and bannanas. He eats a small amount of cereal for breakfast, a jar of baby food for lunch and cereal and a half jar of a fruit or veggie for dinner, plus he still gets his bottles. If he has eaten a lot of solids then he typically does not finish his bottle. Broden is very vocal. He squeels a lot. He still has that quite cry or whine. He is not crawling yet and doesn't even lift his body off the floor but he will reach and creep for toys so he may not be in the same spot I put him on the floor but he doesn't move that much. He refuses to take a pacifier at all. I have tried many times. So that makes it hard at night. He falls asleep easily at the beginning of the night probably because he is tired from the day, but in the middle of the night he needs someone to give him some love. He would love it if we gave him a bottle in the middle of the night, but we are not doing that anymore and will rock or hold him until he falls asleep. For naps he falls asleep on his own as long as he has a little blanket it to rub on his face he is pretty happy. Broden is also a smiler. He is always smiling at anything. I love his spikey hair some mornings it can look pretty wild. He is getting spoile and likes to be held. He has that anxiety when I leave the room and gets upset.
One fun thing going on now is that they twins are more aware of each other. When they are laying next to each other they will reach out and touch each other. Kyrah still loves them both so much. She likes to get in front of their face and jump and make noise and watch their reaction. Kyrah also tells Raya "No No We We". She can't quite say the "R" very well and a lot of times we call her Ray Ray so Kyrah ends up say "We We".

Fishie Fishies
I have a lot of catching up to do. It has been pretty busy at our house. Dennis coaches the Ste. Gen High School softball team. From day one of school to about October 8th, Dennis will have games or practice after school. That means Mommy is both drop off and pick up. So in the evening it can get pretty hectic. Once I get the kids into bed, I clean up the house a bit then try to motivate myself to go down on the treadmill. So the blog has sort of suffered lately.
Last weekend we all went to the cabin. It was a beautiful day - high seventies and sunny. Kyrah likes the cabin, the main focus was fishing today. She recently learned how a fish goes and she smacks her lips together - so cute. So when people caught fish or when Pat was cleaning the fish she was very interested. She even touched one. Lately Kyrah has been a little repeat. She will try to repeat everything we say. The words come out pretty funny sometimes. My favorite is catapiller - she says "pat-pill-er". She is also very good at hopping. Another thing is that she has just started getting jealous of the babies. This may be due to Daddy being gone in the evening, but twice now she has tried to push a baby off my lap. She is also having a tooth break through this week on her lower right side.
The babies are doing great. They are both sitting up pretty well. You still have to have pillows around them or be close be to help them stay up. They both like sitting up and will get whiny if they are laying on their backs too long. They are both still getting up in the middle of the night. Raya will take a binkie and go back to sleep, but Broden is more difficult. I tried on night to let him cry it out but that lasted an hour and I could take it anymore. He just won't settle down unless he gets a bottle. One night I was able to rock him back to sleep without a bottle, but that isn't getting him any closer to sleeping through the night on his own. So we are working on this.
A few pictures from the cabin. Also the first time Broden and Raya are wearing shoes.
Aunt Connie and Raya playing in the sun.
